6 Hamilton Lndg Ste 150, Novato, California, 94949, United States
Overview
Pawscout operates a free smartphone app and a Bluetooth companion tag that connect pet owners and local communities. The app lets users create medical and behavioral profiles, coordinate search and rescue, arrange playdates, swap tips, and access features like community pet‑finding, an outdoor virtual leash, walk‑tracking, thousands of pet‑friendly locations and pet hazards. The Pawscout Tag merges Bluetooth connectivity with the app and cloud service; it debuted in retail last year and has sold more than 250,000 units across the U.S. and Canada in retailers including Walmart, Pet Valu, Canadian Tire, Pet Supermarket, Kroger and Publix. Andrea Chavez, Pawscout's founder, says the company has already helped reunite more than 4,700 lost pets with their people. Pawscout recently received $3 million in seed funding led by Leadout Capital to expand its tools and grow community safety across U.S. neighborhoods. The new capital is intended to help Pawscout continue creating safer, more engaged neighborhood networks for pet owners.
