Paymatrix offers an analytics-driven, end-to-end SaaS platform that streamlines rent management for tenants, landlords and property managers, combining compliance, risk and financial management features. The product facilitates digital rent documentation, tenant screening, renters’ and landlords’ insurance, and tools for property managers to improve rental yields and RoI. Financial-management features include credit-card rent deposit payments, EMI-free loans for deposits, rent-in-advance and rent-discounting. Paymatrix serves tenants, landlords, property managers, co-living spaces, PGs and hostels on a subscription basis and acquires tenants as part of packaged deals. The company operates in over 18 Tier-1 and Tier-2 Indian cities, claims over 13,000 registered tenants and landlords, and reports over ₹22 crore of rental transaction turnover. It is an incubatee of Axis Bank’s Thought Factory and has participated in T-Hub and PayPal India accelerator programs while targeting an annual revenue run rate of $1 million by 2020 via 7X growth to 100,000 customers. Paymatrix operates an online rental-management platform that enables tenants to pay rent via EMIs on credit cards, create rental agreements online, and allows landlords to screen tenants and access renters insurance. The company says its offerings mitigate risk for thousands of tenants, landlords and property managers across India. Paymatrix was started in 2015 and reports a presence in 14 cities with about 4,000 tenants and landlords on its platform. It has been selected to programs including the Village Capital Fintech 2016 program and the PayPal Accelerator, and is a portfolio company of Axis Bank’s Thought Factory. CEO and co-founder Mukesh Chandra Anchuri said the company will leverage strategic investor input from IIIT Seed Fund for future product development.
