Paymynt Financial is developing a mobile commerce application that integrates online shopping, digital banking, peer-to-peer payments and financial investments into a single platform. Led by CEO Michael Rosa and based in Greater Boston, MA, the company plans to launch an app available on the Apple and Google app stores. Paymynt has signed over 2,000 retail partners, enabling shoppers to earn cashback rewards and MYNTs, a universal digital rewards currency, at major name-brand locations. The company raised $1.1M in seed funding. Backers were not disclosed. Paymynt intends to use the proceeds to expand operations and broaden its business reach ahead of the app launch.
