PayrollHero offers a cloud-based platform for scheduling, attendance and payroll with subscription controls for employers. It uses facial recognition as the biometric for employee clock-in and GPS confirmation to verify location. Employees can clock in via the web, iPhone or iPad. The company is headquartered in Manila and Whistler, Canada, and was founded by Michael Stephenson and Stephen Jagger. Some of the seed investment will be used to move more iOS apps out of development. PayrollHero is planning further regionalization, including integrating Indonesian tax code for testing and launching there in the coming months. The company has also seen traction in Canada and the United States, recently adding Taskus.com in Los Angeles as a client.
