Payscore analyzes applicants' bank accounts and deposit history to generate comprehensive income reports that capture paystubs, tips, gig work and other income sources. Its service can be used as a standalone income screening product or embedded into online rental applications. Launched in 2017 and previously called The Closing Docs, Payscore automates applications for more than 700,000 U.S. rental units and over 2,500 motorsports dealerships. The company charges $10 per delivered report, offers bulk discounts to power users, and serves hundreds of customer accounts including Marquette Management, Grady Management and Planned Property Management. Payscore said its customer base grew almost threefold over the past year and that its reported success rate is two-to-three times higher than competitors such as Plaid, Truework, Argyle and Pinwheel. Headquartered in Seattle with a fully remote workforce, the company was co-founded by CEO Mark Fiebig and CTO Stephen Arifin and is on track to have 20 employees by year-end.
