Payvment’s core product is a Facebook app that lets users set up storefronts with products, categories, photos, terms of service and shipping options; stores appear as a separate "storefront" tab on profiles or pages. The app supports product reviews, instant discounts and coupons for users who "Like" fan pages, and the ability for shoppers to carry goods across thousands of Payvment-powered storefronts. Since launching in November 2009, over 40,000 businesses and individuals have started selling through Payvment and over 500,000 Facebook users have shopped via the app. Payvment currently lists over 750,000 products on its storefronts. Financially, the company has raised a $6 million Series B in the current round, bringing total funding to $8 million. The company plans to use the new capital to hire in engineering, online community support, marketing, product integration, retail coordination and other areas. Payvment is a Facebook e-commerce solution provider based in San Francisco, California. Payvment was founded in 2009 by Christian Taylor and Joelle Musante. The founders previously developed social network fan websites for Fortune 500 companies.
