Overview

PCaVision is a Dutch med-tech spin-out from the Eindhoven University of Technology (founded in 2020) that leverages twelve years of academic research to bring AI-powered prostate cancer diagnostics to market. Its core product is an AI software application that analyzes 3D-ultrasound images and highlights suspicious lesions, allowing urologists to determine biopsy locations without requiring an MRI scan or radiologist review. This approach delivers diagnostic results within minutes instead of weeks, cuts patient clinic visits from four to two, and aims to ease the global capacity bottleneck in prostate cancer care. The company is preparing for a broad European market launch while running clinical trials at Jefferson, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, USC-LA, and Yale to support FDA clearance and future U.S. entry. Proceeds will also accelerate product development. A successful roll-out would address a market expected to reach 2.9 million new prostate cancer patients annually by 2040. Including the current Series A, PCaVision’s total capitalization will reach €20 million.
