PeaceGeeks is a Vancouver-based technology non-profit that builds digital tools to simplify the immigration journey for refugees and newcomers. Its flagship product is the free, multilingual Welcome to Canada app, which PeaceGeeks plans to scale nationwide. The organization is launching a Virtual Career Coach feature to prepare and connect migrants to employment, offering support with permanent residency applications, a NOC code finder, AI-enabled interview practice, and skills quizzes. PeaceGeeks received a $4 million investment from Accenture to develop and launch the Virtual Career Coach. Accenture will also provide training opportunities, mentoring, private-sector partnerships, and strategic guidance as part of the collaboration. Founded in 2011, PeaceGeeks has grown from a grassroots volunteer group and has received recognition including the 2017 Google.org Impact Challenge in Canada and a 2021 UNAOC Intercultural Innovation Award.
