Pearachute aggregates local child-focused activity centers into a monthly subscription pass for parents and caregivers. It offers two plans: five classes per month for $79 (shareable) or $99 for unlimited classes per child. The five-person company is launching in Chicago with 35 activity centers and reports 1,200 parents signed up. Founder Desiree Vargas Wrigley says Pearachute will lean on data analytics to provide partner centers with demand and scheduling insights. The company raised $1.2 million in seed funding and expects sufficient margins to expand into at least two other cities later in the year. Sam Yagan has signed on as chairman.
