The company is the only national sponsor of the U.S. Department of Energy's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program and is a partner of the National Association of REALTORS® Green REsource Council. Pearl has certified and provided appraisal addenda on over 90,000 homes in 44 states and Washington, D.C. Independent appraiser studies show Pearl Certified homes sell on average for 3.5–6% more than comparable homes. Pearl says it has created a suite of innovative approaches to rapidly increase the number of home upgrades and scale residential energy efficiency. In 2022 the company was named a funding recipient of Exelon's Climate Change Investment Initiative in recognition of its role advancing a greener future. Pearl Certification provides certification services that verify and market homes’ high-performing features, including energy-efficient and renewable-energy systems, to homeowners and real-estate professionals. The company operates certification programs across California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington DC and Wisconsin. Pearl has launched a Broker Advantage program to train brokers to identify and market high-performing homes and holds a licensing agreement with the Appraisal Institute to populate its Green and Energy Efficient Addendum.
