Pebble is building a childcare marketplace that allows parents and guardians to discover, book and manage childcare and activities from across town. Launched in 2021, the platform offers access to 11,000 activities and 500 nurseries and works with major providers such as Busy Bees. It is used by more than 27,000 UK guardians and has seen 22% month-on-month growth in new users. Pebble recently raised £5 million in a seed extension to fund expansion into more UK cities. CEO Lance Beare said the funding will enable the company to connect thousands more parents, activity providers and carers through its technology and help providers grow revenue during the recession. The product targets increased booking flexibility to address childcare access challenges for working parents.
