PEDRA Technology is a Singapore-based medical device company focused on tissue perfusion monitoring in PAD and CLI. Its perfusion monitoring system, intended to assess deep-tissue perfusion non-invasively, is in advanced development. The company plans to use proceeds from its Series A to develop a first-generation system and to drive a clinical program aimed at establishing perfusion monitoring as a new standard of care in PAD and CLI. The technology is also intended to improve detection of compromised tissue perfusion in diabetic feet to enable better triage toward appropriate treatment pathways. PEDRA is led by CEO Kareen Looi. The system is not currently approved for sale in the U.S. In September 2020 the company raised $4.7M in a Series A from SEEDS Capital, M&L Healthcare Investments and two strategic peripheral vascular-device manufacturers.
