Pelt8 is a Swiss startup that provides a sustainability reporting platform with user-friendly tools to help businesses comply with various reporting standards. The company targets medium and large enterprises and aims to extend support to small and mid-sized companies (SMEs) in Switzerland and internationally. Pelt8 emphasizes ease of use, pursuing “full self-onboarding” to make carbon and sustainability reporting fool-proof. It entered a strategic partnership with EBP to enhance its sustainability reporting capabilities and reach. The partnership is timed amid growing regulatory pressure, including potential Swiss alignment with the EU's CSRD, which could require roughly 3,000 additional Swiss companies to produce sustainability reports by 2027. Pelt8 expects the collaboration and investment to fast-track product developments and broaden its consulting integration. Pelt8 provides a cloud platform with scalable processes and controls to collect sustainability-related data and automatically generate curated, auditable reports. The platform supports international reporting standards and bespoke management reports, aiming to remove data-collection complexity. Founded in August 2021, Pelt8 launched an MVP in September 2022 and now serves eight customers including AXA, SIX, Adnovum, TexAid and Schenk. The company positions itself to help firms comply with incoming Swiss climate-disclosure rules entering into effect in 2024. Pelt8 says the solution will enable companies to move from ad-hoc, error-prone spreadsheet workflows to repeatable, auditable reporting. The startup has also been recognized as a runner-up at the 2022 Swiss Fintech Awards and a winner of the Catapult Kickstarter program in Luxembourg, and is participating in the Swiss Triple Impact initiative.
