Perch provides an app that allows users to build credit using recurring expenses they are already paying for, such as Netflix, Hulu, Spotify or rent. The product demonstrates a person’s payment responsibility to U.S. credit bureau partners to establish credit history. Perch says users can see an improvement in their credit score in less than 30 days, versus the typical 6–8 months using a credit card or loan. The company is onboarding users into the app in weekly cohorts. Perch intends to use its new funding to continue to expand its reach.
