Perimatics develops data science–based software tools aimed at improving outcomes and profitability for hospitals by optimizing perioperative care. Its flagship Smart Anesthesia Manager (SAM) analyzes patients' real-time intraoperative health metrics to support clinicians' decisions that affect recovery. Other products include Periop Optimizer, which uses machine learning to organize operating-room use, and Periop Insights, which analyzes patient-data patterns. SAM is licensed from the University of Washington, and the company spun out of UW’s CoMotion innovation hub. Perimatics is partnering with Microsoft for Startups and has added Microsoft for Startups GM Jim Brisimitzis as an advisor to support its go-to-market and product efforts. Financially, the company has secured a $1 million seed investment from Winigent.
