Perimeter
415 Merritt Ave Apt 3, Oakland, California, 94610, United States
Overview
Perimeter provides a web-based emergency response platform that lets citizens upload geotagged reports (e.g., new fire outbreaks or blocked roads) and lets operations centers send detailed evacuation maps and routes. First responders vet citizen-submitted data so public guidance remains accurate rather than operating like a social feed. The startup was founded by Bailey Farren and Noah Wu around the time Farren graduated in spring 2019 and spent two fire seasons beta testing the technology with agencies. Perimeter’s first customer is Palo Alto’s Office of Emergency Services. The company currently distributes a web app to avoid requiring pre-installation and is developing native apps for first responders with offline capabilities. Financially, Perimeter has raised a $1 million pre-seed and has four full-time employees based in California.
