Peripheral
Lille, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France
Overview
Founded in 2021 in Vernon, Peripheral has built a guidance, alert and coordination system that embeds sensors and LEDs inside a worker’s protective mask, using specific light flickers to stimulate peripheral vision and direct attention without requiring visual maps or audio cues. The first commercial focus is on industrial settings such as factories, logistics warehouses and construction sites, where the technology can protect lone or at-risk workers. The company registered its first €80 k of revenue in 2024 through a firefighter pilot and maintains long-term ambitions to serve firefighting, security and defense markets, bolstered by a partnership with armored-vehicle maker Arquus. Peripheral employs five people and is prioritizing sales growth, targeting €450 k in revenue by 2026 and profitability by 2028. To finance product industrialization and market entry, the startup has turned to successive equity raises after larger funding hopes proved difficult in the French market.
