Perkier makes vegan snack bars that are high in protein and fibre, free of palm oil and gluten, and claims to have created the first UK snack bars with added probiotics. Its products are sold in major supermarkets Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s, on Amazon and via various food-to-go outlets. Sales are increasing by 30% year-over-year while the overall category declined 2.9%. The company says it will use the new funding for digital marketing, product innovation, in-store activation and to expand its team. Perkier was accepted onto Amazon’s Launchpad program to support expansion into the EU. The raise and distribution traction come as the plant-based snacks market is expected to be worth $73 billion by 2028, underscoring investor and consumer demand.
