Overview
PerMicro is a non-bank microfinance institution (MFI) focused on providing micro-credit to micro-entrepreneurs and micro-businesses in Italy. It offers micro-loans of up to €25,000 to entrepreneurs starting or developing businesses, including self-employment. The institution aims to cooperate with NGOs and other social associations and targets people who have difficulties accessing traditional banking, including immigrant resident groups. Led by President Corrado Ferretti, PerMicro reported that at 31 December 2010 it had granted 995 micro-loans totaling €5m. The company said it will use newly raised resources to support micro-businesses and micro-entrepreneurs in Italy.
