Petalite Limited is a Birmingham, UK-based developer of technology and IP for commercially-ready systems to charge batteries. Led by CEO Leigh Purnell, the company has developed technology that can charge batteries in under 15 minutes. The firm plans to adapt its charging technology for markets such as portable power supplies, mobility devices and the automotive sector. In January 2017 Petalite raised £250k in a SEIS funding round. The SEIS round was led by Startup Funding Club and syndicated between members of its angel syndicate and the SFC SEIS Fund. The company will use the funds to expand applications of its technology.
