PetroDE describes itself as the world’s first petroleum decision engine: a cloud-based platform for collaborative, geospatial decision-making in oil and gas. The system combines the Google Earth API with a proprietary shared map and integrates IHS and other public and proprietary datasets. PetroDE analyzes data from millions of wells and presents production data in real time at continental to local scales, enabling teams to identify opportunities and quantify activity and productivity. The company plans to use new funding to market the system, accelerate development of its product roadmap, and commercially support a growing client base, and to showcase PetroDE at NAPE in Houston. Company leadership says the tool is proving essential to clients as operators hunt for unconventional plays and calibrate best practices. PetroDE closed a $2M seed round to advance these commercial and development plans.
