Petsy operates a platform that connects pet owners with professional, verified pet sitters and offers a free Petsy Care package that includes liability insurance, veterinary assistance, and access to an animal behaviourist. Every sitter undergoes a three-step verification process, including an interview with the company’s behaviourist; the platform now hosts over 3,000 pet sitters. Petsy reports more than 90,000 registered users and saw nearly 2,500 service bookings in July, with completed services up over 200% year-over-year. The startup is present in forty Polish cities and four cities in the Czech Republic and has used recent capital to expand operations in Poland and begin Czech expansion. Management says it is preparing the next funding round to grow its data science department and support expansion into the DACH region.
