Phagelux develops anti-bacterial solutions using various phage and phage-based technologies across its HumanHealth and AgriHealth divisions. Led by Chairman Mark Engel, the company operates laboratories in China and North America and has a factory under construction in China. Phagelux raised $10M in a Series A to advance its development programs. The company plans to use the funds to move its development programs forward, acquire additional assets, and begin commercializing its first programs. It expects the first two solutions from its AgriHealth division to complete regulatory approval in certain markets by the end of this year or early next year, with commercialization in those markets starting in 2016. The financing is intended to help progress both its HumanHealth and AgriHealth pipelines.
