PharmacoFore is a San Carlos, CA–based biopharmaceutical company that uses innovative synthetic organic chemistry to create novel medicines targeting central and peripheral nervous system conditions. Led by CEO Wes Sterman, the company is advancing a pipeline of therapeutics aimed at treating a variety of neurological and peripheral nerve disorders. The company intends to use the new capital to advance its pipeline toward regulatory approval and eventual commercialization. On December 29, 2011, PharmacoFore announced it raised $10m in equity funding from Founders Fund. In conjunction with the funding, Founders Fund partner Ken Howery joined the company’s Board of Directors.
