PharmaZen develops nutraceutical ingredients and the AiOra branded supplements, covering joint, bone, muscle and digestive health as well as marine and bovine collagen and animal nutrition. Many of its value‑add ingredients are by‑products of the food industry, improving food‑production efficiency. The company trades under the name Waitaki Biosciences. PharmaZen has seen strong global demand and says cashflow and existing debt made it challenging to keep up with growth. It plans to use new capital to build and equip additional production capacity, including freeze dryers, extraction facilities and expanded marine collagen processing. Management intends the investments to future‑proof current growth and accelerate new projects, including dedicated pet‑product capacity.
