PhenixP2P builds a real-time video streaming platform called PCast that leverages peer-to-peer connections to reduce bandwidth constraints. The company addresses the problem of live streams that often lag by more than a minute during major events. PhenixP2P says developers can achieve latencies under 0.5 seconds while scaling to millions of concurrent viewers. CEO Stefan Birrer highlighted that existing live platforms deliver significant delay and are limited to only a few hundred concurrent viewers. The company raised a $3.5M Series A led by KB Partners, bringing total funding to $5.5M. PhenixP2P plans to use the proceeds to fuel business development, accelerate product development, and hire on both its business and engineering teams.
