Phonic
2261 Market Street STE 10514, San Francisco, CA, 94114, United States
Overview
Phonic offers an end-to-end voice stack that trains models in-house and hosts them cost-efficiently to boost synthetic-voice reliability and lower latency. The founders, Moin Nadeem and Nikhil Murthy, are MIT grads who met at MIT and began building Phonic last year. The company trains models on a range of recordings, including accented and muffled speech, to make the technology more robust. Phonic combines diffusion techniques with proprietary models and deeply integrates reliability features into its models. It is currently working with a limited set of partners in insurance and healthcare and plans a broader product launch in a few months, with prospective clients soon able to try the tech from the company website. Financially, Phonic has raised a $4 million seed round led by Lux Capital.
