PhosphonicS develops and deploys technology to recover precious metals such as platinum, rhodium and palladium from process, waste and effluent streams. Its precious metal scavenger products make economic recovery possible from dilute, low parts per million waste streams, reducing waste and improving process economics. The company plans to use new capital to fund global market development of a range of precious metal catalyst recovery products. It secured £3.5m in a second financing round to support these commercialisation efforts. The round was led by Seventure Partners, with participation from existing backers including Regents Park Partners and private investors. PhosphonicS is a spin-out from Queen Mary University of London and is based in London.
