Overview
PhotoShelter offers purpose-built cloud SaaS digital asset management solutions that enable enterprises and creative professionals to store, organize, access and share visual assets in real time. Founded in 2005, the company serves over 1,300 enterprises and 80,000 professional photographers, including Delta Air Lines, Major League Baseball and the Associated Press. PhotoShelter maintains over 4.3 billion visual media assets totaling more than 18 petabytes of data under management. The company reported strong commercial momentum, adding nearly 200 organizations in the first half of 2021 and recording a nearly 60% year-over-year increase in new business. PhotoShelter says the investment will be used to accelerate platform development, drive innovation across its DAM solutions and support continued growth. Financial terms of the Clearhaven investment were not disclosed. PhotoShelter provides cloud-based digital asset management and visual media workflow tools through its PhotoShelter product for photographers and Libris for brands. The company supports more than 80,000 professional photographers and over 1,000 brand clients, with Libris launched in 2015 and used across multiple verticals. PhotoShelter plans to invest in advanced content collaboration tools, deeper mobile functionality, new API capabilities, and improved UX and performance. The company is expanding staff and preparing to relocate its New York City headquarters into a new 23,000 square foot office in the Financial District. PhotoShelter says the funding will accelerate product innovation across both platforms and support its continued market expansion.
