Phynova is an Oxford-based developer of natural healthcare products built around proprietary plant-derived ingredients, foremost among them Reducose. Reducose is a patent-protected ingredient derived from white mulberry leaves that reduces absorption of sugars and other carbohydrates by up to 40% and has undergone safety and human efficacy testing. It can be added to foods and drinks at manufacture or taken as a food supplement. Phynova is working to fulfil significant commercial orders for Reducose in Europe, China and North America. The company has had a formal collaboration agreement with DSM since 2018 and recently secured new financing to support commercial progress. The funding round and strategic partnership aim to accelerate Reducose’s move to commercial success.
