Pickles operates a mobile application dedicated to delivering hot and cold dishes made with fresh products, with meals arriving in around 20 minutes at an ideal serving temperature. The company raised €2 million to support growth and operational improvements. Pickles plans to use the funding to recruit more deliverers on permanent contracts and to expand its delivery area. It is improving an in-house, algorithm-based logistics solution that predicts demand and optimizes delivery routes to increase daily deliveries. The startup intends to extend service to all of Paris by March and will invest in expanding its kitchen capacity to support growth. Longer-term plans include exporting the model to London and then to other European cities.
