The three-year-old company has grown to nearly 25 million monthly users and reports “hundreds of thousands” of paid subscribers. Paid users pay about $5 per month or $33 per year for an ad-free experience and additional features. PicMonkey was bootstrapped into profitability and had not taken any outside funding prior to this deal. The company recently accepted external growth capital to support its next stage of development, drawing investor enthusiasm for its engaged and loyal user base.
