Pig.gi offers an Android lock-screen app that lets users interact with incentivized actions on their phone’s lock screen to earn virtual coins redeemable for mobile airtime. Lock-screen actions include surveys, app downloads, ad views, and other micro-interactions that generate real-time market intelligence for businesses. The app is available on Android and has gained early traction with brands including ABinBev, Coca-Cola, Rappi, Dafiti, Diageo, Provident, AT&T and Dish, as well as agencies Havas and Mindshare. Pig.gi is co-led by Isaac and Joel (CEO) Phillips and is based in Mexico City. The company raised $2.3M in seed funding and will use the capital to continue scaling its mobile airtime platform in Latin America and develop new ways to make internet connectivity more accessible in emerging markets. The platform connects global brands to insights about emerging-market consumers while giving users connectivity in exchange for direct feedback.
