Pillar is a fintech startup building a product to give immigrants access to credit products when they relocate to a new country. It targets the problem that credit histories and bureaus are not transferable or coordinated across countries, which often forces immigrants to pay higher borrowing costs. The company plans to underpin its offering with an Open Banking-led data and analytics engine slated to launch in Q3 2022. Pillar was founded by Revolut alumni Ashutosh Bhatt (CEO) and CTO Adam Lewis. Financially, Pillar has completed a sizable pre-seed raise, securing £13 million (approximately $16.9 million).
