Pilot AI offers an AI system that analyzes sales calls to generate summaries, extract questions and answers, and populate CRM fields after calls conclude. Founder Maxwell Lu, formerly a product engineer at Salesforce and head of revenue operations at a previous startup, started the company to remove manual post-call writeups. Pilot AI was accepted into Y Combinator’s Summer 2022 batch and has been covered by TechCrunch. The company says customers range from modest sales teams to large organizations, including users at Salesforce, and that one customer uses Pilot AI to fill 15 CRM fields, replacing a post-call process that took reps up to 20 minutes. Lu would not share revenue or exact customer counts. He said the pandemic and macro slowdown have increased digital sales conversations and demand for AI sales tools, and the company claims a growing customer base while positioning its product as streamlined and affordable compared with rivals.
