Pina Earth builds an online platform for European forest owners to register for carbon credits and access high-tech forest management services that increase biodiversity and climate resilience. The Munich-based startup uses AI modelling, a digital twin of forests and remote data capture to forecast climate impacts, monitor projects and verify improvements to boost credit quality. It sells a service helping owners implement adaptations (for example planting climate-resilient species) that should generate additional carbon credits over time. The company ran two pilot projects covering 1,200 hectares in Germany and is in private beta with more forest owners ahead of a public commercial launch. Recent hires in tech, forestry and business support its shift from pilots to scaling thousands more acres and automating carbon project development. Pina Earth aims to replace owner inputs with third-party data, expand its carbon project toolkit and simulate adaptation methods to serve a diverse range of forest owners.
