Overview
Founded in 2021 by Argentine natives Pablo Orlando, Mary Saracco and Jack Saracco, Ping provides a multi-currency payments tool available on Android, iOS and desktop that simplifies cross-border payouts for Latin American freelancers, contractors and remote employees. The service enables users to open a free U.S. dollar account, receive bank transfers, hold or convert funds into local fiat or cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, and issue invoices through an integrated billing system. Built on Latamex rails, Ping combines traditional finance infrastructure with crypto rails to offer stable dollar earnings and seamless swaps between fiat and crypto—an attractive proposition in the region’s often volatile economies. Within its first month after launch, the platform processed more than $1 million in payment volume and has since expanded to 16 countries, with many users returning monthly or even bi-weekly. Ping currently monetizes through fees on a professional tier and plans to roll out a premium, subscription-based product in March. The company estimates that roughly 70% of Latin Americans lack traditional bank accounts, underscoring a significant addressable market. Seed financing is being deployed to grow the team, invest in marketing and sales, and accelerate product development.
