Overview

Pingboard provides live org chart software that creates visual, automatically updated organizational charts by integrating with companies' existing HR systems. The product is designed to help companies organize teams, plan for growth, and keep employees informed. Founded in 2013 by Bill Boebel and Rob Eanes and incubated at Capital Factory, Pingboard is headquartered in Austin, Texas. As of the article, the company powers nearly 11,000 org charts at more than 1,000 companies across 39 countries. Customers include Demandbase, POPSUGAR, Khan Academy, Udemy, WP Engine, GoFundMe and others. In May 2018 Pingboard raised a $5M seed round, bringing total venture funding to $7.5M, and Pat Condon joined the board in conjunction with the financing. Pingboard provides a slick, customizable company directory and API to help office managers automate people and office operations. The platform stores employee details (phone numbers, emergency contacts, badge numbers, dietary restrictions, T-shirt sizes, etc.) and includes messaging functionality and integrations with popular operations tools. Pingboard is designed to replace scattered spreadsheets and manual processes by enabling employees to upload and update their own information and by allowing developers to automate workflows around that data. The company is currently in private beta and piloting with businesses in Austin and Silicon Valley. Pingboard plans to expand its platform and continue business development as it grows its pilot customer base. The company will use its recently raised funds to onboard new pilot customers and further build out the product.
