Pinteg, founded in January 2020 and based in Lund, Sweden, builds Fairity, a Software-as-a-Service platform that simplifies and automates the management of personal data. Fairity aims to inspire trust by allowing individuals to decide how their data is treated and by providing businesses a complete personal data management solution. The company positions itself as a practical data protection framework to help organizations handle customers’ data and ensure GDPR compliance. Pinteg is collaborating with Swedish authorities and researchers to develop a new data certification; the first draft was expected in 2023 and Fairity will be the first product to receive that certification. In October 2023 Pinteg secured roughly €600K (7 MSEK) in funding. The company plans to use the proceeds to increase sales and marketing efforts for Fairity in Sweden.
