Overview
Pipedrive offers a CRM platform for sales and marketing teams that leverages artificial intelligence and automation to help sales teams manage leads and deals, track customer and prospect communications, and drive revenue. The platform is used by sales teams at more than 95,000 companies worldwide. Pipedrive was founded in 2010 and is led by CEO Raj Sabhlok; it maintains offices across Europe and in the US. The company received a majority investment from Vista Equity Partners (amount undisclosed) to support growth. Vista's partnership is intended to help Pipedrive grow and optimize its product portfolio, expand internationally and increase its customer base through continued investment in its Go-to-Market engine. Existing backers including Bessemer Venture Partners, Insight Partners, Atomico, DTCP and Rembrandt Venture Partners will remain minority investors. Pipedrive, founded in 2010 by CEO Timo Rein, is a New York and Tallinn, Estonia-based provider of cloud-based sales pipeline software and CRM. Its product delivers visibility and control over sales pipelines and guides users to complete meaningful activities daily to push deals to close. The solution is used by over 75,000 businesses across a broad range of sectors in 170 countries. The company recently launched a flagship Platinum package featuring workflow automation, team management, reporting and security to automate recurring sales tasks and help teams set goals and track performance. Management says the funding will further strengthen the company’s capability to expand within valuable markets such as Germany. Pipedrive has raised $90m in venture capital to date, with its Series C completing at $60m. Pipedrive is a CRM and sales tool built to cut down on busywork and help salespeople focus on closing deals. The platform automatically tracks activity across email and phone and integrates with about 100 apps (Google Apps, Trello, Zapier, MailChimp, Yesware and PandaDoc) to surface next actions without manual updates. It is priced on a monthly SaaS basis from $12.50 to $62.50 per user per month. Pipedrive was founded in 2010 and is co‑headquartered in Estonia and New York; it reports 75,000 customers in 170 countries and triple‑digit revenue growth each year since launch. The company currently focuses on helping close existing leads rather than lead generation and sees opportunities in post‑sales management. Management plans to use new funding to expand the product, grow the business globally and potentially make acquisitions in the CRM space. Pipedrive builds sales-first CRM software designed to help SMB salespeople close more deals. The platform has matured into a broader CRM play with integrations to 50+ online tools, including Google Apps, Trello, Zapier, Mailchimp, Yesware and Pandadoc. The company reports more than 30,000 paying small-business customers across 140+ countries and employs about 200 people. It maintains development and product teams in Estonia and a 30-person office in New York, with Brazil cited as one of its biggest markets. Pipedrive says it will use new capital to develop product and tech, grow its partner ecosystem, and fund global marketing. The Series B increases its total venture funding to just over $30.4 million. Pipedrive offers a visual pipeline SaaS CRM designed to help small and medium businesses manage and increase sales. The product emphasizes a dashboard that displays deals through stages, plus iOS and Android apps and an open API for third parties. Pipedrive targets SMBs and lists customers including Fortumo, Postmates, FalconSocial, and Blippar. The company reports more than 10,000 paying small business customers and has 77 employees across the U.S. and Estonia, with its development office located in Estonia. Leadership recently changed: co-founder Timo Rein moved to president focusing on product, engineering, infrastructure, integrations and support, and Steve Oriola was appointed CEO. Pipedrive plans to use the new funding to accelerate growth and further build out its product.
