Users can apply themed "skins" showing score, location, team crests, and game statistics, then share to Facebook or PiPsports streams. The platform supports streams for over 1,000 teams across six sports and users collectively share thousands of images per week. The company launched a beta in November 2013 that has been downloaded by over 225,000 fans and it aims to reach one million users by the end of 2014. The $200,000 seed funding will be used to grow the international user base during major summer sporting events, add new sports, skins and app features, and further develop the product. PiPsports was founded in May 2013 and uses OPTA live feeds to power its stat overlays.
