Pivo Inc., founded in 2016 and owned and operated by 3i Inc., develops AI-, AR- and VR-enabled hardware and software for everyday creators. Its flagship hardware is the Pivo Pod line, including the award‑winning Pivo Pod X as well as the Pod Lite and Pod Gold, which add auto-tracking and extended smartphone capabilities. The company pairs its smart pods with a suite of apps (Pivo+, Pivo Live and Pivo Studio) and proprietary Face, Body, Object and Animal Tracking to enable dynamic photos, videos, 360° images and 3D virtual tours. Pivo Pod X was named a CES 2022 Best of Innovation Honoree and was slated for release in the second quarter of 2022. Financially, Pivo completed an investment of nearly $24M (28B KRW), comprising $20M from new financial and strategic investors and $4M from existing investors, and earlier ran a Kickstarter that raised nearly $400,000 from about 1,700 backers. The company also launched an Indiegogo InDemand follow-up and says it will continue marketing its products to establish itself in the creator economy.
