PixelMax develops a 3D interactive platform that lets organisations create and host virtual worlds for education, engagement, training and events. Its core product supports digital twinning, product and process simulation, real-time chat, virtual wellness and social features to boost engagement. The company has worked with a UK National Health Service Trust to simulate a hospital department and with manufacturers to build digital twins of machinery and factory sites for virtual training. Over the past 12 months PixelMax expanded into the events sector and hosted Digifest 2021, providing a 3D immersive experience to almost 2,700 participants over four days. The business is led by co-founders Andy Sands, Shay O’Carroll and Rob Hilton and is based in Manchester. The recent investment will be used to expand the team and define a go-to-market strategy to drive growth.
