Pixie Technology builds a Location of Things (LoT) platform that combines augmented reality navigation with signaling technology to let users create digital maps of tagged items. The company sells small tags called Pixie Points™ that affix to items such as keys, wallets, remotes, toys and pets; the tags continually communicate to allow precise location tracking via the Pixie app. Led by CEO and co‑founder Amir Bassan‑Eskenazi, Pixie enables users and developers to view and manage a personal digital map of all tagged items. The company will use the $18.5m Series B proceeds to scale production and expand its LoT platform, ecosystem and Software Development Kit to enable third‑party applications. Pixie also plans to build its signaling technologies into other products, devices and services. The company is based in Los Altos, California, has offices in Boston and Israel, and has raised $24m in total funding.
