PlainID, founded in Israel in 2014, is a Tel Aviv- and New York City–based provider of cybersecurity and identity and access management (IAM) solutions. It delivers a policy-based access management layer and a real-time decision engine that control who has access to what. The company raised $75M in a Series C led by Insight Partners, which it plans to use to expand its go-to-market strategy and accelerate product development. The round included participation from Itai Tsiddon, Viola Ventures and other existing investors. PlainID also announced senior executive appointments including Gil Levonai as Chief Marketing Officer, Thomas Ammirati as Chief Revenue Officer, and Eli Shay as VP of Global Services; it was co-founded by CEO Oren Ohayon Harel and CTO/CPO Gal Helemski. The company raised $11M in a Series A and will use the funds to expand U.S. sales and marketing operations, customer support, and its R&D team.
