Planspot is a web-based, all-in-one event marketing tool whose dashboard connects social media, press-release distribution, mailing list management and partner publisher/event-listing sites. Event organizers create an event listing that generates a dedicated Planspot event page and can automatically push links and updates to Facebook (including creating a Facebook Event) and Twitter. The dashboard tracks and allows responses to social conversations, imports mailing lists and generates email templates with analytics, and includes a press-release creator with distribution and tracking. Planspot matches events to partnered magazines, newspapers and listing sites and takes a cut from listings or related ticket sales while charging organizers a monthly subscription. After a soft launch in the Netherlands in October, Planspot is rolling out an international push including the U.S., supported by media partnerships and distribution via Zvents, Allevents.in, Songkick, Upcoming and a partnership with GetPromotd.com. The company has raised $750,000 from angel investors and is led by founder Satya van Heummen with team members Chris Wilson, Michiel Scheepens and Reinoud Tjallema.
