Planted Materials
Seattle, WA, United States
Overview
Planted Materials, founded in 2020 and based in Seattle, recycles and processes organic waste to create renewable alternatives to petroleum-based materials and chemicals. Its core product pipeline includes renewable feedstocks for manufacturers and a consumer products arm, Green Water Labs, which develops plant-based alternatives to household and business chemicals. After three years of bootstrapped R&D the company reports early commercial validation of its waste-to-product biorefinery technology and viral launch and growth of Green Water Labs. Planned next steps include developing a pilot facility to recycle organic waste into renewable materials at commercial scale and launching additional products. The company has been accepted into the Greater Seattle Export Accelerator and completed the 12-week Bronco Venture Accelerator program, gaining access to mentors, investor networks, and trade support. Planted Materials aims to supply eco-friendly, renewable materials to sustainable manufacturers globally to help drive the circular economy.
