PlayCKC is a Mumbai-based startup that builds a live sports gaming platform allowing fans to engage during live action. Its core product includes distinctive, non-intimidating formats called PREDICT and SELECT; PREDICT is a simple MCQ format with questions generated on the go based on live data. The platform was initially launched for cricket, where the number of predictions has skyrocketed to more than 935,000. PlayCKC plans to add live gaming for football during the Football World Cup later this year. Founders are Swapnil Manish, Anuradha Sinha, and Sanket Khemuka; the company was one of four startups selected in the first sports-tech cohort by India Accelerator and JSW Sports, which are strategic partners and own stakes. The startup raised $200,000 in a seed round and said it will use the funds to achieve better product-market fit and to build and retain its core team.
