PlayRaven is a Helsinki-based game studio focused on developing original strategy games for touchscreens. Its only released title to date, Spymaster, is a free-to-play World War II strategy game launched in September 2014 that reached the top of Apple’s iPad strategy game charts in 99 countries. The team is 16 people and includes founders who previously worked at Remedy Entertainment, Wooga and Digital Chocolate. PlayRaven emphasizes a unique theme, visual style and gameplay for each title. The studio is currently working on two new strategy games and says the newly disclosed funding will be used to build them. Since its 2013 founding, PlayRaven has now raised a total of $7.5M.
