Playto Labs was launched in 2020 by IIT Kanpur graduates to help students become future-ready through hands-on learning, with an initial focus on robotics products for kids above seven. Within a year of launching, the company says its products have paying customers in 33 countries and have seen strong month-on-month growth. More than half of its customers have come from word of mouth and organic channels. The startup plans to use the seed funding to build a strong team and expand its customer base, and it says it will be launching more products soon. The founders previously built Skyfi Labs, which developed 100+ project-based courses and saw enrollments from over 400,000 students across 65 countries. Playto emphasizes making play a relevant learning method to help children enjoy science and technology.
